This is kinda off-topic, but I just thought this was interesting. Another female trying to make it in a traditionally male sport, so interesting parallels with women's bodybuilding.

Never off topic Hans when it pertains to any athletic woman!!! :D
I watched most of it and was pacing back and forth in the hotel room with my husband, Bill this weekend in Virginia(there to be with him for the 1st time after his accident) Knew she would not win cause of the fuel thing, so 4th was awesome!!!

I couldn't be happier... Danica made an excellent showing. She's certainly shaking things up. I wouldn't be surprised if they make some rule changes. Her stature is an advantage.

In drag racing there's several women who are blazing new ground. Back in the early 90's Angelle Sampey took drag bike racing by storm. She's one of the highest winning racers out there.. Anyone interesed can learn more about her on her website. http://www.angelle-motorsports.com

Like Danica, she' a 5 footer whom's just over 100 pounds. And, in drag bike's that's a 15% weight reduction. People went nuts screaming about rule changes back then too..

They actually look a lot alike...

Nice addition to the forum Hans. I was watching this race--the WHOLE race--for the first time since the IRL came into being and split with CART. I got really excited when she was leading with 20 laps to go considering what happened to her that day--1 near-miss wreck, 1 real wreck, and, of course, the stall in the pits. Before the race even started, I was thinking...she is going to do great things today in the race, but I think she may "stall the engine in the pits" because she is concentrating so hard on the rest of the race. I am sorry my prophecy came true. I like Brunettes, too...lol

She had an incredible run and 4th as a rookie at Indy is a remarkable achievement. I know they were trying to protect a placing for her by conserving fuel, but would love to have seen what might've happened if they'd kept her car running at 100%.

I know you can never predict a late-lap crash (or any, for that matter), but if they'd kept running full speed AND those same two cautions had come out when they did, it's entirely possible she would've won the race under the yellow-white at the end.

Such is life in my "What if?" world.

Man she is hot!!! And fitchick to boot. Is not the world record to top-fuel drag racing held by a woman?

Nope, I just checked. Career Best Time & Speed:
Time: 4.523-seconds - Joliet, IL
Speed: 325.92 mph - Bristol, Tenn.

Vital Statistics
Full Name: Rhonda Lynn Hartman-Smith

THAT IS 325 MPH in less than 5 seconds, GOD DAMN
