Now, a few candids from the expo and lobby.

Mary Lynne Mackenzie, preparing for the North Americans:

Star Blaylock gave me the tragic news that she is crossing over to figure. It looks like she still has a bit of muscle to get rid of first:

Maria Calo, big and hard and scaring the hell out of the judges:

Nathalie Abellan, the little French powerhouse:

Hey TomNine, those are a Good Selection of photos from Europa especially the ones of Robin, Colette, Dena Vicki and Jana physiques during the peak of perfection. Jodie's physique looks Good and she's definitely a force to be reckon with in the future.

Beyond that Excellent "Ripped Vascular" Symmetry & Proportion on the competitors that will get me fired up for the North Americans. Plus Tom this has made a Great Birthday Present since my B-day was yesterday.:)

Thank you Tom!

I really like the pics of Robin. What killer legs!!

I'll be sitting out the NA's. Heart just isn't in it at the moment. Time to have some fun and enjoy being somewhat normal...whatever normal might be. :)

I think she as well as Mary Ellen Jerumbo would do the sport a favor by retiring. Especially Mary because she just doesn't have it anymore.

Whoa whatcha tallkin about Wiillis? Mary Ellen is exactly what the sport of FBB needs!!!! Mary is FBB's true Bull Durham, to her its not about trophies or being Andy's muscle goddess of the month, its all about the love of the game!! Just trainin and proving to herself time and time again she can step on stage and hopefully be a light for other ladies in their fourties or even younger that they too can have a dream body. If she can get on stage they can too! Not many athletes get to compete in their chosen sports at an elite level in their 40's only the special ones such as Satchel Paige ( played pro baseball well into 50's) and modern day Julio Franco (48 yrs young) in baseball......no Julio isnt winning the batting title this year but he is helping the Mets to a division title just by his presence in the dugout just like Mary Ellen is helpin Pro womens BB carry on just by her presence of being on stage!

You go Mary and ashame on these talented gals that have tuurned pro in the last 5 yrs and have yet to step on stage! :sprite10:

Thanks for all the comments.

Beyond that Excellent "Ripped Vascular" Symmetry & Proportion on the competitors that will get me fired up for the North Americans. Plus Tom this has made a Great Birthday Present since my B-day was yesterday. Chris, if the judges have their way you won't see much vascularity at the North Americans, though there are still a few ladies who have yet to drink the Kool-Aid. And a belated happy birthday.

Great shots Tom, except i noticed that Gene made reference to this in his post show report Colette was not making her Pro debut she finished 5th (HW) in the 2005 NY Pro Show. http://www.musclememory.com/show.php?c=New+York+Pro+Championships+-+IFBB&y=2005&g=f

Not trying to be a know it all just making sure everyone gets the right info. Scott, don't you know that only the contests I attend count? :D Thanks for keeping things accurate.

Star Blaylock gave me the tragic news that she is crossing over to figure. It looks like she still has a bit of muscle to get rid of first:

Oh, Tom.... say it isn't so!!!..... please! :( Actually, I think she was also considering fitness. The judges have been brutal on FBBs who have gone to figure and pretty generous to the ladies who crossed over the other way, so we'll see how things end up. (Ann, drop me a line to let me know if you got all the material we shot in Pittsburgh.)

WOW....I feel famous now... Drexel, it was great to work with you, keep at it!

Thank you Tom!

I really like the pics of Robin. What killer legs!!

I'll be sitting out the NA's. Heart just isn't in it at the moment. Time to have some fun and enjoy being somewhat normal...whatever normal might be. :) Yep, Robin finally makes the pros and those beautiful striated quads suddenly are points off. Jodie, it was great to work with you too, I know you got some good shoots in Dallas. Sorry to hear you won't be in Cleveland but you deserve a rest.

Eddie, your disrepectful comments towards the ladies aren't worth repeating, I'd appreciate if you could take them elsewhere.

Hey Thanks Tom, and I'll agree with Deadbeatrec as well as everyone else that those are some Beautiful, Sexy Legs & Feet that Robin has. Her total physique was at the peak of perfection at the Europa.

I also liked the photos of Debbie & Sarah as well. But as for the North Americans I'm glad to find out that another one of my favorites Mary Lynn Mackenzie will be competing because I LOVED what she's done to her physique.

But as far as the judging goes, they're not going for the big bulky Massive look but for more of the Symmetrical Ripped Detailed look which I like LOVE on a Woman (Bodybuilding, Fitness or otherwise) period.:)

Tom, I think the shots you took of our Jodie B in the pool and Jody May in the booth are some of the most creative you've ever shot. How did you manage the booth shot? I think this is your best work so far! How do you feel about it?

- Has there ever been a time that Robin Parker hasn't looked incredible!?
- I'll mourn the loss of Star Blaylock to fitness or figure.

 I can see why she would scare anyone.

Unfortunately I believe she is someone who can hurt the credibility of FBB.

I think she as well as Mary Ellen Jerumbo would do the sport a favor by retiring. Especially Mary because she just doesn't have it anymore.
How could the credibility of the sport (if you can call it that) be hurt more after the fiasco that transpired at the Europa? In light of your incredibly insulting remarks towards Maria and Mary Ellen I find it amusing that some people in this forum think I'M rude. :headscrat

Hey Tom, I agree Star should remain in Bodybuilding because she did pretty Good in making top 5 at the 2005 USA's. I hate to see another Beautifully Good potential FBB jumping ship to figure.

I also agree with both you and Scott that Mary Ellen should not step down because I'm in favor of checking out some Beautiful Muscle Maturity anytime on a Woman.

I don't like it when some FBBs as soon as they turn pro only compete in very little or don't compete in anyone of the pro contests out there. Then disapear from the scene so quick before they really make an impact on the pro level just like they've done in the Amatuer ranks.

It's like they've wasted there time competing for a pro card for nothing. I would Love to see a Good variety Women Bodybuilders anytime.:)

First of all, thanks for the nice comments about that pic of Robin's legs. Until recently I've been uncomfortable with isolating bodyparts like that, but sometimes it seems to work out.

Tom, I think the shots you took of our Jodie B in the pool and Jody May in the booth are some of the most creative you've ever shot. How did you manage the booth shot? I think this is your best work so far! How do you feel about it? If you look at my full galleries there are mostly the usual compulsory poses, but I also like to try some different stuff and feature some of the creative pics in my samples gallery. That Jodie B pic really shows off how pretty her eyes are.

Jodi Miller has a very strong sense of how to present herself and was a great model with very little direction from me, but for that booth pic she really couldn't picture what I was going for. I just walked out of the sunken area of the lobby around to a higher level and shot down at her. (I saw Dan Ray shooting somebody else this way earlier in the weekend, and probably wouldn't have thought of it myself though I do like unusual angles.) I only took a few pics that way because she was uncomfortable with it, but I liked the results. Here is another pic of Jodi:

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a215/TomNine/DSC06965.jpg

I would Love to see a Good variety Women Bodybuilders anytime.:) Mary Ellen keeps competing out of total love of the sport, even though she usually finishes towards the bottom. How can you not respect and admire that? Most reasonable women would accept advancement to the pro ranks for what it is, a very expensive opportunity to never do well in a contest again.

Hey Tom, you're welcome on the photos of Robin Parker's Upper & Lower Body which is some of the Best "Freaky Shredded Vascular Ripped" physique in the business.

Looking at Robin's physique would definitely help to explain why other up & coming FBBs in the sport look to her for her guidence when it comes to contest prep & diet. She definitely knows what she's doing. As far as I'm concerned Tom, those photos of Robin are in Good Taste & If she was here at the Forums, then I'm sure that she'll be proud of how they turned out. She looked very Beautiful in both of those photos.

And again I'll have to agree with you when it comes to both Maria and Mary Ellen it's all about the dedication and Love of the sport. You, Cal Joe and Scott has made some interesting points that can't be denied.:)

Another great shot Tomnine. I think the extreme angles, adds something really different, and rarely seen to the women, it just brings out different attitudes. You probably don't want to over do it, but I'm sure one or two in a shoot would be cool.

Wonder what Jodi thinks of 'em now?

Thank you, FemaleMuscleFan! I softened up and filled out a bit for the day-after-the-show photo shoots. Once some of the pictures come out that Gene X. took on the day of the show, you'll see the difference.

I am usually comfortable with most of the extreme angles. Jon Howard and I have experimented a bunch with odd angles of limbs and the camera. But even when Dan Ray has had me lie down on the ground and look up at him, it feels awkward. The vein in my forehead usually displays itself readily, and my neck tends to look strained in the images. I also worry about having the up-the-nose view...lol!

Anyway, I do think Tom did a nice and interesting job with that booth picture. I like the last one he posted of me sitting in the chair the most though. I feel comfortable, relaxed. And I think it comes through in the image.

Tom, I got your e-mail and will be replying by the end of the weekend. Thank you for working with me! I see you'll be at Nationals, so maybe we can look at getting something set up for then.
