I just want to say I had a BLAST

The most important thing for me at this show was being the real Isabelle and not the girl I was at nationals 2 yrs ago. I honestly want to thank those special people that helped me gain my strength back, and be the bodybuilder that i am ment to be. :sprite10:

I want to thank GOD for helping fight through the obstacles and helping me to remain focused on my goals.

I also want to thank Gina Davis and Howard (who really opened my eyes). I want to thank A-Dawg (Pro Amanda Dunbar) for her motivation and support and that dam 20 inch tiny wist of hers. Dr. Mimi Jabalee for her motivation and encouragement. the fabulous Debbie Bramwell for your motivation and wking me up to reality. Ellen Woodley for your warm hearted kindness, and for helping me at the show. Chris Eaddy for telling me how it is. Marcy Porter for your motivation and for your stylist Bobby. Robin Parker for her Hamstrings and glutes, and her physique overall. Robin was my motivation for hamstrig training. Michelle Brent for your motivation and coaching. Randy for giving me the chance of a lifetime.

Thank you to all the people working backstage.
Thank you to those who wished me luck and showed support. I got a bit tery eyed when I read some comments b/c it really touches me heart! I apperciate those words that where said.

And finally thank you to the bartender that gave me my pina colda and sirnoff ice :p

It was a great show, and I want to say Congratulations to Sherry Smith!! You looke beautiful :star:

Hey Isabelle you've walked past by me over at the bar at the Rennissance Cleveland Hotel Saturday Night while I was over at the Table where Anne Sheehan & her Husband Darrin was sitting at and you looked Good up close as you did on stage plus I loved your posing routine as well as your Lat Spread which reminds me of Amanda's Lat Spread from the 2005 USAs in which you looked very Beautiful, Classy & Sexy.

No doubt about you're 100% "World Class" IFBB Pro Material all the way Isabelle. Big time congrats to you on your Light-Heavyweight win Isabelle, you're my Hero.:)

AWWWWW you guys really know how to make a person cry! that is so sweet to say those things to me. I can take that with me to heart and use it for my motivation and focus torwards nationals.

Robin, I meant what I said. I thought about the picture where the camera is looking up your legs and you see these very well defined glutes and hamstrings. Excellent separation. I don't supose anyone has that picture. It is black and white. Oh yeah Robin is by far one of the best people to go to when it comes to a diet. She is very good.

I remember seeing some previous photos of Isabelle when she competed at the 2003 Excalibur as a Heavyweight as well as the photos that was taken of her by Bill Dobbins (which are Excellent by the way) and she still looks just as Good now as she did back then.

And whether she's a Light-Heavyweight or a Light-Heavyweight, Isabelle's got it going on period. And Isabelle whatever you do don't stop because it works period.

I can't tell you how great it is to see you coming in looking so good - I know the last couple of shows have been difficult. You've told me many times that you just wanted to come in in that Excalibur shape again - I'm so happy for you that you did it. When I saw you in the gym in Vegas I could tell how focused you were. Great to see it all come together for you!

See you in Miami!

Now this is exactly what a friend is all about. You guys have no idea how down I was around the time I spoke to Debbie at USAs. I mean Debbie just came off thestage from competing and she was sitting talking to me for a while about bodybuilding and doing a show, etc. I can't tell you how Debbie made me feel about myself. She opened another door in my mind that I didn't know about. it was like it was meant to be from God. Now I am a believer tat everything happens fr a reason. I have so much respect for Debbie Bramwell. I mean she really didn't know me very well and here she is giving me the motivation and encouragement that I needed. Any time that I felt down I thought about those powerful words she put in my head.

Debbie God Bless you! You are truly a beautiful women, who has the biggest heart in the world. You also have a kickass physique and I just wish I could have your very defined arms. here is some love your way sweetie

Isabelle, I (like you) am a huge Debbie Bramwell fan and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to follow her in offering my congratulations on your victory at the North America's over the past weekend. I am especially pleased to see that you understand the importance and significance of the comradery and support that so many female bodybuilders provide for one another. Debbie leads the way in this regard - as Sherry Smith told me "Everybody is Debbie's friend!". And she extends that heart of gold to all of her fellow competitors and, quite frequently, even to humble observers such as myself. The warmth and tenderness of these relationships is probably more important in the long run than the wins and losses in the competitions.

That being said, Isabelle, you were wonderfully prepared and surely deserved the win, one that should be all the more satisfying when you realise that this was a supremely competitive light-heavyweight division. A clear victory over top-notch world-class athletes should leave you very pleased and I'm sure that all of those wonderfuil women (along with many of us here) extend to you our wishes for continued success and happiness throughout a long and distinguished career as one of the World's finest athletes.

Oh and by the way, I surely do agree with you on the majestic arms of Ms Bramwell. In her evening show she gives us a quick look at her unbelievable right rear bicep - with a peak so massive it seems to threaten to break right through the ceiling.

I am going to have to throw my 2 cents in this one. I was a bit surprised backstage with alot of the female bbs. To be honest there was people there who knew me and I had been nice to and they just blew me off. I thought it was a bit funny actually. then there where those that just stood there and looked at me like I was from planet Uranus or something. There was only a select handful that i saw that really where genuine and helpful. it really amazes me how some people act on boards and how they are at shows and then when you compete together they just treat you like a piece of doo-doo. :headscrat Well let me tell yah that ain't my style. These are my opinions and this is what I saw backstage at the N.A.s. I really wish I had video of it and audio, and then you can see what i mean. ;)

Yes, I need pictures. I appreciate all of the work that the photographers went through as well of course the competitors and show promoters. This shows how big of a thanks we owe Gene and James where one contest they don't get the oppurtunity to make it to and then we don't get the pics as quickly. There are some great others in that realm also like Bill Comstock of Graphic Muscle, Tom Nine, Tre Scott, Juan Carlos Lopez, Mark 000 and many others. Thanks photographers. Thanks to Gary Udit for putting on the event. Thanks of course Isabelle for doing this show and to all of the other competitors. You are all great champions.

Count me in as well Isabelle! :)

You know, by the time we are all backstage, there is no reason for anyone to be rude or mean. We've done all we can do at that point with our diet and preparation; the rest is not in our hands but in the hands of the judges. Bad attitudes backstage, off-stage, or anywhere else, cannot, nor will not, change that, either before or after the show. Everyone works hard to be there and we should support one another, for we all know how it feels to win and we all know how it feels to lose (or not place where we wanted/wished/hoped). How can we expect others to support our sport if we cannot support one another within our sport? A little friendship, camaraderie, and compassion goes a long way. :)

To be fair, as I mentioned to you off-line, I do feel that some folks do not mean to come across as being rude and/or mean. Sometimes they are simply affected by their diet, nerves, etc., meaning we all handle the pressures of dieting and competing differently, just like we handle other things in life differently. Therefore, I try to keep that in mind and give others the benefit of a doubt. And yes, sometimes I am very wrong and they are just mean and rude by nature! LOLOL If they are like that, do not take it personally. That is something THEY need to fix within themselves. The things within us are much more difficult to change sometimes than our physical selves. ;)

Looking forward to meeting and talking with you in Miami (and that goes to Elena as well!).

Isabelle, I am shocked and dismayed to hear that any athlete (far less top-flight female body builders who I greatly admire) would be so thoughtless and unkind to one of their own. I can only believe that this sort of behavior comes from those athlete's burning desire to win - sometimes at any cost - and their fear that you would prevent them from reaching their goal.

How sad and unfortunate that such behavior exists. My thought is that those who engage in it must not be very pleased with their own lives, these ladies may well be more deserving of our compassion and concern than our disgust and contempt. It must be a really empty feeling to believe that your only happiness must come from 'success' in an athletic event and achieving it at any cost, including rude and unsportsmanlike behavior, is justified in the persuit of victory (and the 'love' that supoposedly comes along with it).

Now in contrast, Isabelle, you are well aware of the many really 'great sports' who also enhabit the World of the elite female bodybuilder. Several such people have already been mentioned in this thread. These wonderful women know the meaning of real love and understand fully the responsibilities and obligations that all competitors have towards one another. These are the shining stars of your sport - and the people that you need to look to for your continued inspiration and motivation.

As for the others, forgive them if you can and remember them in your prayers. Perhaps when you see them once again before your next competition they may experience a change of heart and be much more considerate and charitable. I wish that both for you and for them.

Thats very nice to say Elena. Thank you! KNowing myself i am probably going to stay away from chit chat. This is a very big show, and I need to focus focus focus. So i will probably be posing, pumping up, posing, closing my eyes and visualizing myself hitting my poses etc. Geting myself ready for the big stage bright lights, panel of judges. You know what I mean. I remember at nationals in 2004. I watched everybody and one person that stood out the most was Gina Davis. I remeber her going over her poses again and again.. She looked so awesome, and walked away with a pro card. :big grin

Anyway, I was just speaking my thoughts on what I witnessed backstage. I just got a kick out of it. :p
