http://www.graphicmuscle.com/index.cfm?go2=contests_competitor&CompetitorID=11863No offense but I Like Denise much Better as a Bodybuilder and she still has a lot to offer in the sport of Bodybuilding as opposed to Figure.

I'm still proud to be a fan of Denise and I would Love to see her comeback to the sport that have made her famous because after seeing competition photos of her compete live at the 1999 IFBB North Americans as well as seeing competition photos of her competing at the 2000 Ms. International & Ms. Olympia, Denise still has the Right Stuff to become a Champion pro Bodybuilder.

Her combination of Beauty, Muscularity, Femininty, Grace & Style is by far some of the Best in the Sport. I hope that she'll come back to Bodybuilding because to me, she would to Better in that division instead of Figure.

With the winds of positive change is coming, there is a Greater need thanks to the 20% ruling as well as the addition of more Pro contest for Women Bodybuilders I would Love to see more Women crossing over into Bodybuilding more so than figure so the sport of Women's Bodybuilding can grow & prosper.

I am a figure competitor. I come to this board bc I like the BB physique too, just not on myself. Although, a long time ago I did compete in BB. It was a different era of female BB and figure puts me basically in the same type of shape that I was in that era.

I really feel that Denise looked so great as a BB. As stated, her beauty, muscularity all point to that of a BB and just the type that the judges are looking for now.

cb, i couldn't agree with you more.

cb, i couldn't agree with you more.Hey Thanks 80's Baby. As a long time fan of the sport, it disturbs me that some of the Women Bodybuilders who have firmly established themselves in the sport just to give it up to have "figure" on the brains. And if anything it's Fitness not Figure is more reminiscent of what the FBBers looked like back in the day.

But as been mentioned on various threads including the "Figure Sport vs. Figure Model" thread over in the General Discussion Section that a Good number of the Figure gals have been juicing up and have been coming into competion very buffed up when figure is supposed to be a more softer look.

Plus most of the FBBs who've tried to crossover into figure or fitness have not been successful and wound up quitting all together. But there is an old saying: If it's not broke, then don't fix it.

And Denise's photos that Amazon Lover has posted in comparison to the link that Femalemusclefan has posted proves me right that Denise looks much Better & even more Beautiful & Attractive as a Bodybuilder than a figure competitor.

Both Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women have been screwed over by the creation "the powers that be" in various Bodybuilding Federations by over promoting & showcasing figure gals when it comes to magazine coverage, Pro & Amateur contests (especially in 2005 & 2006 which is not right at all) as well as on TV & the web.

I've mentioned this in The General's thread "Flex swimsuit edition" earlier a couple of months ago. Now just look at the Number of Women crossing over to Bodybuilding this year which is Great and Denise should jump on the Bandwagon because figure is not where it's at.

Plus already some folks are coming out saying that it's boring and also Other posters on various boards look at Figure as nothing more than an over Glorified Beauty Pagent (minus the Evening gowns).

The bottom line is that Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women deserve all of the Love, Props & Respect that they deserve period because if you're going to pump up figure than don't do it at the expense of the Women of Bodybuilding & Fitness.

If Cathy Lefrancois-Priest, Diana Tinnelle and Theresa Hendricks could crossover into Bodybuilding successfully, so can Denise because she's got the potential to do just as well in the Pro ranks just as much as she did as an Amateur.

Again just look at Denise Hoshor back in 1999 & in 2000 then you'll see what I mean. :)

I firmly agree that she has a great Bbing body, then whyd she do figure? Maybe to see what would happen (NP'ing). My God, Figures small. I've got to keep lean even on off season to accomplish the tiny task!

Denise's face appears much thinner in Figure & is a nice look, but her body says BBing. It screams BBing!

I was at the USA'S when Diane T. made the switch right then & there. She did far better than she would have in Figure.

Hey Maxt, Dr. Barbie is referring to Morningstar (Diana "Tatianna" Tinnelle) 2006 NPC USA Middleweight Bodybuilder who placed much higher since switching to Bodybuilding in comparison to when she competed in Figure.

And again after what Dr. Barbie has just said have proved my point that if it ain't broke don't fix it. Denise Hoshor should stick with Bodybuilding instead of crossing over to figure because I'm confident that with her Balance of Muscle Separation, Ripped Symmetry & Proportion on both her upper & lower body will look much better as a Bodybuilder than in figure.

And even though Denise is not the 1st person to have jumped ship from Bodybuilding to another division, remember Michelle Ralabate, Sandy Riddell, Laura Bass & Ms. Olympia Kim Chizvesky when they jumped ship from Bodybuilding to another physique division a while back?

All of them did not placed as well in Fitness because the judges thought they had too much muscle. But when they competed in Bodybuilding all of the Ladies had their Greatest success than they would've had in Fitness or in this decade, Figure because they were some of the Most Beautiful, Classy & Sexiest Women to have Graced the sport of Bodybuilding period.

Again nothing against the Women who competed in Figure but since the inception of that Division in the last couple of years have hurted the number of Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women this year and I'm very Happy that the Sacramento Pro Show has dropped Figure in Favor of Women's Bodybuilding.

Plus I hope that the IFBB would bring back the GNC Show Of Strength, IFBB Pro Worlds, The Jan Tana, The Charlotte Pro Show as strictly Bodybuilding & Fitness, but without Figure on the same bill since the Figure gals have more Open Olympia Qualifiers than the Women who compete in Bodybuilding & Fitness.

Again just like I said before and no offense to Femalemusclefan and all of the fans of Figure but Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women are the most Beautiful Women in the World, are "Gifts From God" and they need Love too period. :)

Plus you can also add the "The IFBB Atlantic City Pro" to the list of contests that needed to be strictly Bodybuilding & Fitness instead of Figure on post #17 since Figure could easily survive on it's own without being on the same bill with Bodybuilding & Fitness. Wouldn't you agree Maxt? :)

Does not count if BBing for me was so long ago that today I restarted in figure. It is a great place for me here & now.Well then DrBarbie, if that's a photo of you, then you look very Beautiful, Classy & Sexy.

And judging from your physique since I don't know you that well, I would say from the 1st impression of you is that your physique looks more like either a Beautiful Lightweight or Middleweight Bodybuilder (in a Michelle Ralabate, Lindsey Mulinazzi, Sue Gafner kind of way) with very Good Genetics & Muscle Maturity.

But what I was trying to say is that in my opinion, Women Bodybuilders come in various shape and sizes and right now based on What's happened since the 2004 NPC Nationals on the Amateur side as well as the 2005 Ms. International on the Pro side to the Present is that the more Aesthetic Symmetrically Proportionate (with "Finer Feminine Lines") are getting more positive responses (which includes higher placings as well as winning the overalls) more so than the Women who continue to get just as Huge Bulky & Massive which Pretty much damn near destroyed the popularity of Women's Bodybuilding.

As a long time Fan, I would Love to see it around for the Next couple of Decades because FBBs & Fitness Women are Beautiful and have a lot to offer in society.

Plus it saddens me that when a Good potential up and coming Female Bodybuilder all of a sudden loses interest and winds up going to another physique division & lose all of her Beautiful Muscle on her Body that she's worked so hard to build because of excessive Drug use that a Good number of the competitors use as well as the Number of Judges & BB fans that support the Bigger Massive FBBs in the Amateur & Pro ranks as well as the overpromotion of Figure by various Bodybuilding Federations besides the IFBB/NPC.

I personally rather see Women's Bodybuilding to go back to the look & standards of the Cory Everson/Lenda Murray eras of the 1980s thru Mid 1990s as well as the look from 2000 to 2003.

Plus in this era of the IFBB/NPC's 20% reduction ruling, hopefully it will give current and Future Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women a chance renvigorate their desire along with their competitve juices to give Bodybuilding a try. I'm sure that they'll be Glad that they did. :)

This is Denise's thread. But thank you again for the compliment!

I too like the look of the 80/90's, I remember it well. For me, I had over a decade away from the fitness industry, so I have started all over again. For me it is figure all the way, but I live here on this board too since I love to watch FBB and my favorite parts of the physique is symmetry, beauty & the cuts with retention of smooth skin. Very pretty.

Here is a picture and I am trying to find the ones which are more ripped up and muscular for the board.
I have had a lot on my plate and have felt comfortable in the venue of figure. I like the suits, heels, it is me. I love watching FBB though. I think that symmetry is so beautiful and important

I have had a lot on my plate and have felt comfortable in the venue of figure. I like the suits, heels, it is me. I love watching FBB though. I think that symmetry is so beautiful and importantHey you're welcome Dr. Barbie. As a matter of fact for a long time I've been a Big Huge fan of the "Thickly Beefy Dense Freaky Shredded Vascular Ripped" look on Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women combined with Symmetrical Feminine Proportion.

But in the future if you so choose to persue Hardcore & Drug-Free Bodybuilding, then you'll do very well in the 20% era since everything that you've mentioned is being rewarded so far in Women's Bodybuilding & Fitness.

As a matter of fact, Besides Denise Hoshor who in my opinion is a Great choice but also Amanda Dunbar, Angie Salvagno, Isabelle Turrell, Autumn Raby, Christine Sabo, Debbie Bramwell, Bonnie Priest, Michelle Ralabate, Lindsay Mulinazzi & Nicole Ball are some excellent choices should you want to pattern your physique that exemplify Beauty, Femininty, Muscle Separation, Grace & Style iin Women's Bodybuilding.

And I'm talking in range from a Lightweight to a Light-Heavyweight Bodybuilder but not a Heavyweight Bodybuilder.

Now as for Denise is concerned like I said before, I hope that she'll have a change of heart and go back to her Bodybuilding roots because that's where she belongs and she's got the time to really go ahead and restablish herself in the sport and to continue where she left off after the 2000 Ms. International & Ms. Olympia.

Where some of the current top 6 finalists at the Ms. International & Ms. Olympia are at in 2005 & 2006 is where Denise should be at right now let alone having the overall titles because of her Great Genetics & Wonderful Muscle Maturity, she should be able to give the competiton as well as the top contenders in the World their run for the money.

I like to remember Denise Hoshor the way that I always want to remember her as Beautiful, Classy & Sexy with the right amount of Cuts, Muscle Separation & Definition, Symmetry & Proportion, Grace & Style that she posessed.

And I'll hope that she'll come back Beautiful & Strong as a Bodybuilder because "Destiny doesn't make mistakes", period.

I really appreciate the feedback. Yes, I now do figure. Please do not feel that I have crossed over since, my goodness, quite honestly I competed in FBB so long ago, that it just does not count. Now that I work and am a little older figure is what I love very much and the right physique for me.

You see, though, why I still hold an interested in FBB and enjoy being here. I lurked for a long time before I came to be a regular here. I enjoy keeping up with the goings on of the FBB comunity, its changes, who's who as well as who was.

I love seeing all of the different types of physiques there are be it BB, Fitness or my beloved Figure! Thanks for having me here. I am finding my way back to the fitness industry and love it just as much as I did back then. So here we go.....Nationals for me!

A few more to wet your appetite :)Thanks again Amazon Lover for proving my point again that Denise Hoshor looks much Better as a Bodybuilder than a Figure Competitor.

And to all of the posters & Fans with "figure" on the brains, Beautiful (Hardcore & Drug-Free) Vascular Women Bodybuilders & Fitness Women RULES PERIOD!!!!!! We can't have anymore of our Heroes to quote the phrase in "Star Wars", "Crossover into the Dark Side of the Force".

They took the time to make the journey to build their bodies to the Pinnacle (Peak) of Perfection so they should go ahead and don't give up on Bodybuilding because Beautiful Symmetrical Feminine Muscles looks Good on a Woman period.

If Cory Everson, Lenda Murray, Debbie Muggli, Laura Creavalle, Diana Dennis Amy Pazzo, Kim Chizvesky & Bonnie Priest could sport the Muscle and still look very Feminine and Sexy, then so should Denise Hoshor because she would no doubt would benifit from the IFBB/NPCs 20% reduction ruling with the Beautiful Ripped Vascular Symmetry that she possed from 1996 - 2000.

So in my opinion, I say she should not have given up because Denise is so Beautiful and have so much potential that she can still be a Positive force in the sport of Bodybuilding. :)
