Gina, I'd love to see women like you, Amanda, Robin, Colette, and others in similar documentaries.

Would you be willing to have your lives filmed in the way that Joanna did?

Colette was in a documentary for MSNBC that was actually very similar to Joanna's. They followed her during her prep for the 2000 Nationals - her first national-level show, I think.

I'd like to see a sequel at least, but preferably a 13 week reality tv series like the one I am watching about The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders on the NFL Network on Monday Nights at 8 this summer.

Oh, I would certainly give it a go. Now that my bicep recovery has officially put me behind for the Ms. I prep, I am trying to pick the best show for me to do next year as my pro debut. (not that there is a whole hell of a lot to choose from) Once I do, I wouldn't be opposed to a crew following my progress. May even take 'em home with me to Texas to visit the source of my bbing genetics...My Momma. She could give that camera an ear full for sure! lol!

About 15 weeks ago, I was training arms and was performing one-armed dumbbell curls when my left bicep tendon snapped. I was using a 35# dumbbell, which is my normal lifting weight during this exercise and was curling on a preacher curl bench. I always use STRICT form and was at the bottom of the rep with my arm fully extended about to curl back up when I heard a loud pop and my arm just fell along with the dumbbell! Talk about panic! I immediately went to my desk at the front of the gym, sat down and started praying that it wasn't torn. The whole gym freaked out and people started giving me ice and the next thing I knew I was on my way to the ER...worst-case scenario became a reality...complete tear of my distal bicep tendon.

I had to wait 2 weeks for my operation, but finally had it surgically reattached using an innovative technique called the "endobutton". It turned out great and my recovery has been really good...besides the frustration of not being able to do upper body workouts. Actually, I was just given a release last week from my orthopaedic surgeon and I am SO EXCITED! lol! I tried to remain in good spirits throughout this rehab process, but I must admit...it was TOUGH. Nothing like turning pro and training for you pro debut when disaster strikes. I tried to make the best out of it and even included a "Road to Recovery" section in my member's gallery which documented my workouts with video and photos. I believe everything happens for a reason and I think that being forced to be on the sidelines and watch as these shows come and go was a blessing. At any rate, I am recovered, regrouped, and re ENERGIZED to get back to work! I am hungrier than ever, which is a very good thing...

Thanks for your questions and concern,
G

First of all I was so sorry to hear of your injury. Injuries can be so traumatic, and they are terrible. I hope you have had a speedy recovery, and that you're on track for the road to the Ms. International. Best of luck to you.

Thanks so much Joe. Not sure if the Ms. I is going to be a reality at this point. We will look at the calendar and put pen to paper once we get back from Vegas and see what the plan will be at that point. All my best to Angie!

Sorry to hear about the I. Thanks for the good wishes for Angie. Any idea what show you might shoot for if not the I?

Is the Angie that you guys are talking about Angie Salvagno? She is one more hot fbb. I really like her eyes and smile. she also has a nice lean physique. Another good competitor is Jeannie Paparrone. I like her too.

Haha, I was freakin out about that too! But I am pretty positive it was just a single show! ;)

I would also love to see more fbbers in similar documentaries...They could be real positive for fbbing!
