In a sport where you women are given no respect from those that govern and sanction- it must becomes hard to justify why you do what you do. Sometimes it takes those around you to remind you of that. With all the talk about Ms O being run in the expo, the frankness of joanna's documentary, and the general dismal outlook of the ifbb's opinion, we should always remember the positive aspects of the endeavor or else we will get lost in the grayness of it all.
As a bodybuilder (male) myself, I have always looked to the physiques of the men and women to motivate me before a workout. Sometimes I'll watch some of "battle for the O" videos and sometimes its checking out some pics of Amanda's abs befor an ab workout or watching heather bend the bar with a 500+ squat or elena looking like she's gonna explode out of her shirt in a long-sleeve shot.
See besides the contests, meager pro purses and cancelled shows- there are so many other sides to the sport. Always remember that just because the ends might not justify the means-Cherish the journey. There are so many things besides being an IFBB pro to enjoy about fbb. Im not singleing any one out, but the guys are always so concerned about snagging that card that years or more can go by without really being "lived"-so do the girls. While getting ready for a contest, sometimes one begins to wish time to pass by so fast and that is no way to live life.
Heather- You have a lot of fans and more important to anyone is feeling comfortable in your own skin. I think you looked awesome in your lighter days- I love your heavier shots too, but see what your body looks like when you come down again- what do you have to lose. You don't have to weigh over 145 to be impressive. You are awesome and one of my all- time fav female physique stars!
Amanda- I got sick of you rambling about your veins on your journal until you posted some free pics. Once the fat has come off you are unveiling some sick **** under there! I like you :D Your stock is rising, and you have improved so much from last year. Don't do drastic stuff days before the show- you don't need to.
Elena- You are so awesome for the sport of fbb. You seem to really care about helping people succeed. You really have a passion for the sport and that gets people excited. You have one of the best flowing upper bodies i have seen on a fbb- im a huge fan! The intensity you show in your shots from the free journal pics helps me get motivated- thanks
I know that this was a kind of cheezy post, but i wanted you guys to know that you make an impact on people and there are a lot of people like me-not perverted schmoes, but just other bb'ers wanting the best for you guys
