Dear members, (or readers should i say)lol!
I have noticed that when reading various websites belonging to various respective athletes and non athletes alike that there usually is at the beginning where one posts a qoute or special motto where one finds his/her own inspiration from. Just as an idea here but perhaps you may have one, two or many personal quotes that belong close to your heart, so please feel free to share them with us on the forum.
Some of my very own motivational sayings are:
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, an hour, a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
-- Lance Armstrong
Philippians-4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Looking forward to reading ya comments.
Many thanks,
Rhys

i got one i cling on to. it kinda hokey in origin, but rings true none the less.
"Do or do not. There is no try." Yoda
here is another.....
"12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful." Colossians 3:12-15

rhysg,
Philippians 4:13 is ALSO one of my favorite!!
I like the WHOLE book of Philippians.... it's like a little Pep-rally book!
Another favorite is Philippians 3:12-15 (to summarize the topic: Press on Toward your goals... forget what is behind and press toward what is ahead!)

might as well just throw it up...
"12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind."
Phillipians 3:12-16

ive thumbed through The Message. i use it as a cross reference if i am studying. sometimes it does get the point across more clearly. i love the NASB. i have a single column NASB that i use to read. i love it becuase it has no column breaks on the page and no referances on the page. it reads more like a standard book then anything. i have all sorts of Bibles. i like biblegateway becuase it does have a ton of different translations, including the Message I believe.
anyway....

My all time favorite, actually a George Will quote from a "This Week" roundtable....
"Luck is simply the residue of design"
And then the one that speaks to the other part of my soul (humerous but true)...
"Blessed are the cracked, for it is they who let in the light"
And one from Abraham Maslow...
"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start
from now and make a brand new ending."
