Lisa Bavington, any news from her?

I just would like to ask what Lisa Bavington do this days. She is one of the great defenders of female bodybuilding in our times. Does anyone had news about her?

I got an email from Lisa the other day. She's finishing up an MA and starting a PhD in the fall, and says she'll probably be at a few bodybuilding shows next year.

I was a huge fan of Lisa's. She doesn't write me anymore.. Not sure why. :confused: I dont think she is bodybuilding anymore though.

No shes not bodybuilding anymore, but we still workout sometimes. From what I understand is very busy with school and doesnt write many articles anymore either. But she is doing well and is happy with life and the direction it is going.

Lisa and I are trainers at the same gym and I have had the opportunity to talk with her on many occasions, especially about female bodybuilding. We have very interesting conversations given her background and my background in Sociology with a gender focus. Lisa is a great person and so very intelligent, I can wait to read her paper. I will definately tell her that there are people inquiring about her on the board.

Not sure. Doing some mentoring with my coach for the next few years. He is teaching me his knowledge and how to be a teacher myself. I love it.

I do love to compete, so who knows what the future holds.

Well, I've completed my MA and working full-time. I'm still doing personal training and diet programs online, have a book in the works and selling some items on ebay for anyone interested.

I'll be at the Canadian Nationals in Edmonton, AB in August and will drop in on the boards from time to time.
