Guys, nice job w/ the site. It looks great! The layout is nice and it's asthetically very pleasing. Some notes:
1. No new videos for this week? The ones posted are re-runs.
2. Model navigation is difficult. Instead of paging 1, 2, 3, etc... can you have a nav bar to pick letters by name? Picking page numbers is a crap shoot... you never know what page what model is on.
3. Model navigation by last name. That would seem to make more sense but that's just my opinion.
4. When your in the members area... how do you get back to the news or the GeneX Mag page(s)? Nav back would be good.
5. Right-clicking to download videos doesn't work in FireFox (from the main members page at least) which is a pretty big deal.
This isn't a rant, btw. The site looks nice. Just some constructive feedback :-)
Cheers!

thank you for the input and rants are ok too. (I've been getting some from folks who dont like change lol) I will try and respond:
1.) Yeah, I am doing more updates now. (although there is a new vid clip and photos) Most of my time was spent with getting all the details ready for todays release. Keep in mind, we will have daily updates insted of the weekly ones. This is an automated system and updates are scheduled in and done automatically.
2.) The search feature is very powerful. Type in her name. But the page system is what it is.
3.) I used to sort it that way, but all content is now sorted by first name. Again, the search is a good tool.
4.) This is a good suggestion. A link to the GeneX area from inside the members area. I'll work on that. The company creating the redesign suggested seperating the two sites a little more, so that explains why there is minimal amount of links as they didnt want traffic to leave one site over the other..
5.) OK, well I'm not too eager to make it easier for people to keep vids on their hard drive. Thank youtube and other file sharing sites for that.

One point Im confused with. If we're not supposed to download the vids... how are we supposed to watch them?

My only crit about the otherwise good-looking site is that the middle section seems to imply that there are links, but they're not there. That's all over the site.
The only active links are on the menu bars, when to a web user, the links are where you have an underlined text under a photo. In the new site, that's not the case at all.
That's true for the GeneX site and the FtVideo site. In the FT site, it looks like YouTube with the videos in the middle, but they don't play. I click on them and nothing happens. Perhaps because I'm not a member, but I think you miss a lot of page-views with this system. There should be teasers.
Having links where a user thinks they should be will improve navigation and end the confusion. There's a GREAT book on this by Jacob Nisen called "Designing Web Useability" Check it out.
Well, I've already offered $$$ of advice, so I'll back off now.
