Is it just me or does anyone else hate, hate, hate the new IE 7?

I use firefox 99% of the time but when I am working on a site I do test it in IE and a couple of other browsers. The new IE can "FORCE" changes on a site. Extra large font, or small font, etc.

I hate it!!

Haven't played with it as much except when I have to since I use Firefox too...

I just switched. I must say, it pretty much sucks. Tabbed windows are overrated, and I miss the menu bar. More than anything, I really really really miss the refresh button. And while it's so much fun to go hunting around everywhere to find a way to issue the action you want, I prefer the industry standard menu bar -- it's just too convenient to have a complete list of all actions at the top of the application! I guess beginners will just have to get used to not learning anything new. Other than those major shortcomings, it's just swell -- and offers no improvements whatsoever.

Upon further review, I did some digging and discovered a) how to bring back the menu bar, b) where the refresh button is, and c) how to disable tabbed windows. So now it's almost, but not quite, like IE6. If, by some miracle, it's security actually is improved, I'll take that over the minimal functional annoyances.

Would you like to share how to bring back the menu bar?

To the far right of the tabs are a few icons and buttons. Open the Tools menu (with the cog wheel) and choose Menu Bar mid-way down.

I like it for the most part, but with everything you will have problems with it.
