I think if you try to understand from our perspective you might be a little more accepting of some of our choices. I dont think choosing a man involved in fitness is any different than some one choosing a partner based on race, religion, or social class. Most people choose a partner based on having things in common. The fitness lifestyle is just that, a lifestyle. Most girls who compete stay on a pretty strict diet year round and are in the gym 5 to 6 days a week. It's hard to find someone who understands that we may not be able to go out to eat 4 nights out of the week or go out drinking every weekend at the club. It's nice to have a partner who is willing to go hiking, running or even spot you under some heavy weight in the gym. How is it any different than a man that prefers blondes or red heads over brunettes? I dont think is was fair of you to judge women involed in fitness untill you get to know more people in the lifestyle. Sounds like you've had your feelings hurt. Is it fair to take it out on everyone?

You have to keep in mind that although we know what they look like, their age and even what town they live in and some personal history, they know, with few exceptions, ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about us, what we look like, are age, what town we live in and very little if any of our personal history. Are we, or have we been, convicted of spousal abuse, child molestation, rape, drug addiction, murder etc. etc. etc. In this day and age of internet stalking these women [any woman for that matter] have to be extremely careful about who they buddy up to on the internet. They are risking inviting either a pain-in-the-ass [ just ask Fitgirl1 about me ] or worse, disaster. They have to keep a certain distance from us and this should not be confused with snobbishness on their part. They are looking for compliments, maybe a little helpful criticism and just some fun in talking with us as we much as we have fun in talking with them. FBB'S are not snobs by a long shot........although a few might be, I'll grant you that much.
You have to keep in mind that although we know what they look like, their age and even what town they live in and some personal history, they know, with few exceptions, ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about us, what we look like, are age, what town we live in and very little if any of our personal history. Are we, or have we been, convicted of spousal abuse, child molestation, rape, drug addiction, murder etc. etc. etc. In this day and age of internet stalking these women [any woman for that matter] have to be extremely careful about who they buddy up to on the internet. They are risking inviting either a pain-in-the-ass [ just ask Fitgirl1 about me ] or worse, disaster. They have to keep a certain distance from us and this should not be confused with snobbishness on their part. They are looking for compliments, maybe a little helpful criticism and just some fun in talking with us as we much as we have fun in talking with them. They are really a great bunch to associate with..........but they need to keep a certain distance. :)

now you got me and this was one of reasons for being here although that i didn't use to join to any public forum
and yes i had to be cruel in some of my words because i wanted thos women to wake up from their extreme sleeping in the bodybuilding world
i wanted them to realize that the world around them are moving while they are stable
i wanted them to know that their sport started to lose some of fans in the interest of fitness\figure women, it may be they will wake up someday to find that there is no female bodybuilding any more
i want thos women to present themselves to the community not as extreme fbb's who have extreme look to the other normal people but as normal beautifull sexy woman just like any normal\slim woman (no shallow)

Because HE was too insecure to be with someone who was bigger than his friends. He was all about image. He tried to change me too and for a time I tried to be what he wanted. I was miserable.

We are who we are because it's what we are meant to be. Bodybuilding is not the end all be all in my life but it's a big part of my life. I like who I am and I wouldn't want to be anyone else.

Steroids = bad things like death. That is why bodybuilding is not a main stream sport. This is why bodybuilders (male and female) do not have big endorsements like Maria Sharparova.

I would love it if we could keep the sport clean....but then it would be boring. If not that, then I would love it if we could educate the general public about safe and proper steroid use. Then that would bring fans back.

in every sport you can find the streoids ,the question is : how is the responsibales of IFBB or NPC to deal with this case ?
for example FIFA are abling to control the steroids although that you can find in the game at least 22 playrs but the playrs are scaring from taking steriods

I agree with much of what you say, though I find it interesting that the general population equates steroids with death. This despite the fact that 300,000 Americans die each year of cancer directly attributed to cigarette smoking, countless thousands die from alcohol related incidents/illnesses, and the American public is warned everynight in prime time about a multitude of side effects that can/probaby will result from a myriad of pharmaceuticals up to and including "fatal occurences", which is a nice corporate word for death.

There is no steroid that leads to a fatal occurence, or a severe brochial infection, or immediate stroke and heart attack (Vioxx). Steroids can harm your health long term, particularly if abused, but then again if you took 50 aspirin for a headache it would probably kill you too. You can take 50 D-Bol tabs, and it wouldn't kill you.

So yes, I agree with the overall tone of your post, but I just shake my head at the mostly demonized perception the largely ignorant American public has about steroids, despite the legal killer drugs they surround their lives with and bring into their homes.

I just read (belatedly) this thread and the laments cum rantings of the now banned (and rightfully so) "Sir Alex" (a.k.a. Borat?). It is not his lack of proficiency in English, nor his thinly veiled but unfrightening threats playing on the word "gunner", that bothers me. He appears to be overcome by nagging (if not raging) jealousy, expressed as condescending preaching on the subject of with whom fbbs should and should not pair up, all with a contrived and utterly nonsensical "rationale" (i.e. the future of the sport somehow requires fbbs to change their dating habits?).
