Hope no one minds me creating another poll.
I'm sure this one may seem even more intriguing than the other.
Fans love to debate the athletes who often had that "close but no cigar" feeling.
I for one believe that Laura Creavalle is the best contender that there's ever been
to not get over that hump and take title, of which I thought she should have won at least twice.
Vickie Gates is another as well as Lisa Lewis.
And of course everyone know that Betty Pariso has done many events with little success.
For whatever reason - I don't know - but she just can't seem to get that elucive big victory.
No matter how consistant she's been.
There's no question that Betty seems to bring it every year that she's been a pro.
She's should certainly have more to show for her efforts. I just hope it isn't too late for her.

Of the women listed on this list I would have to say Laura, although Dayana Cadeau will surpass this list in what I feel will be short time.

Wow - I did forget about Bev Francis.
Diana Dennis and Laura Binetti have just come to my mind as well.
DAMN IT !!!!:o Ohwell. I guess in my defense I was in a rush when I made this poll.
You know I started to put down Ellen van Maris, but I wasn't sure if she competed enough to be a good candidate.

That's both a hard question and an easy one - apart from her being a great FBB in general, I've always had a real crush on Sandy Riddell.

Not to be a nitpicker, but that's Charla Sedacca on the left...Janice Graser's sister.

I agree with the people who said Laura Creavalle. I think that overall she brought the most symetrical physique, and was always in great shape.
Though my personal favorite of the choices would be Vickie Gates. I have always loved her upper body, and I really wish she would have gotten the title at least once. I am in no way trying to detract from her lower body, it's just that her upper body was so amazing that if she could have gotten her legs to catch up with it, I think she would have been the one to top Kim Chizevsky during her reign.

Yolanda Hughes by virtue of her performance in the 1998 Ms. Olympia in Prague. Yolanda placed 2nd behind Kim Chiveszki, and placed ahead of Vicki Gates(3rd).
In terms of unrealized potential, Denise Rutkowski could have left a greater legacy than Cory Everson if she had stayed in competition.

I agree, though Laura's record in Olympias is pretty impressive. Pound for pound the greatest might have been Sue Price. :sprite10:

Hooray for the lighter-weight athletes! CalJoe, since you brought up Sue Price, do you remember Chris Bongiovanni (Olympia 1998)?
But absolute pound-for-pound? How about that "mini-lightweight" sensation Michelle Ralabate? I'm not certain if she ever appeared in the Olympia after her Jan Tana win, but she was a terrific competitor.

This could go on and on (which is part of the enjoyment, of course), but another of the all-time great ones is Nikki Fuller.

Michele Ralabate was one of those great lightweights that competed in the early to mid-90's; Michele along with Sue Price, Clifta Coulter, and Renee Johns. I'm almost certain that Sue Price had the best Olympia record among these great lightweights, but they were all great in their time.

It is fun to remember some of the noteworthy competitors of the past. I am sure that they would appreciate it. I sometimes wonder how our present day competitors will be remembered 7-10 years from now. Will they be remembered as well as the athletes that we now remember from 7-10 years ago?

I think some will be remembered as great competitors that represented their sport in a dignified way, while some might be remembered as whiners that tried to manipulate the system in an attempt to have the sport adapt to them. Just my opinion.

Chris Bongiovanni, Sue Price, and Valerie Gangi were three who left the game around the same time at the peak of their careers without any explanation whatsoever. I would also lump Laura Bass into that group.
That was weird, because all of them were *great*.
