Svetlana Kochkina is one of my favorite athletes.
She is Russian, has a warm heart, is always friendly, humorous, has a great voice when she sings melancholic Russian songs, likes Russian water - a beautiful woman and a great athlete - only one little mistake ;) - she is married - sorry guys ...

The following shots were made in morning time - she had slept badly in the night and came late due this - normally she uses to be in time.
The weather was very cloudy and we had only some minutes left - bad circumstances that can happen ...

Such I did only a few shots - not very happy with my results ...
She got a CD with the pictures and published them in a Russian message board - in reduced size and without post processing.

I found the pictures here - remembered some nice moments - and decided to give the shots from the web a little post processing - here are the results - before without frame - after with frame.

Regards, Claus

PS: Sorry about my bad english ...

Claus, thanks for those pics and the story behind them, I would love to see more of that sort of thing from other photographers.

Don't worry about your English, it is better than we are used to.

Great shots, Claus! Thanks for showing us lazy people the value of taking the extra step or two with a 'good' image to make it a 'great' one.

Appreciate the stories, too!
