A contest usually come to an end when the promoter loses interest in promoting it. I believe that was the case with BodyRock. Steve had taken it about as far as it could go and was ready to move on.
The failed Best Biceps contest in 2006 was just the beginning of the end.

Thanks for the info and responses guys. It looked like such a great show, certainly with tons of great competitors, many of whom have gone on to win their pro cards (Teresa Anthony, Val Waugaman, etc.). Perhaps all the fancy stage decoration took away from the bottom line? NoVa is a pricey area as well.
It is still a little puzzling to me..

It was definitely my fault.
Without a sufficient backup plan in place, the Best Biceps event didn't happen in 2006. And sadly, it's not an event that you can just 'replace'.
I'm thinking of possibly bringing America's Best Biceps back in 2008, but at this point, it's a longshot, at best.

She's competing at a national championship in L.A. this weekend. I want to say WNBF, but can't remember just now. She will then go on to compete in Greece (?) at her world championship, so I'm looking forward to seeing what she brings to the stage.
