There are a number of changes that came out of NPC Nationals. I've posted all of them at: http://www.hardbody.com/news/

Fitness & Figure competitors should be stoked at the added opportunities. The change in the height classes is also a good move.

According to your article, there will be no fitness at the next NPC Nationals.

Is that true?

Ron Avidan has owned the name for years and the two of us have talked about doing something with it for awhile. We're finally getting it in motion. Right now the news section is taking off and will work on the other areas in the next few months.

If you ever have any info you want out, email me g.

haha switched FROM figure.

Fitness isn't out of the question...I was a competitive gymnast for many years, ya know! Has there ever been anyone who competed at the national level in figure, BB, AND fitness? :D

Hardbody looks promising. I already volunteered my services to ron, and I extend the same offer to you as well!

That really sucks.

Why aren't you objecting?

I agree completely.

It taints the Nationals, which up until now has always been the NPC's crown jewel.

That really sucks.

Why aren't you objecting? Why would I object? Another show gives women the opportunity to compete and turn pro. I don't see how adding another show to the figure line-up is a bad thing for competitors. Why does it "really suck"?

Subtract fitness. Insert figure.

The reason it sucks is because I'm a fan who pays for tickets to shows and I want to get my money's worth.

Fitness gives ticket-buying fans entertainment value.

Figure can be a bit of a pain to watch especially when there are such a large number of competitors. But of course that's good for the business side of the sport for revenues and such. I personally loved the NPC Nationals with just fitness and bodybuilding since it was a bit more managable.

I'm surprised a man who prides himself on admiring a plethora of females wishes not to see more of them on stage.

I agree fitness is more entertaining and what I enjoy watching the most.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. :)

I haven't looked at the schedule or anything, but I just hope that they don't stretch pre-j and finals over two days.
