Maybe some of them are afraid it would look sexist or something. I've never collected MBB magazines, but a photo of girls hanging onto an MBB immediately reminds me of all those Weider ads in the comic books, so I'm sentimental about that.

I was going to mention that it reminds me of the day when I would flip through 'Fantastic 4' and see Arnold, Frank Zane or Franco with some bikini girls and bending an exercise device that looked like a garage door spring with handles.

Even at 10 years old I knew I couldnt look like Arnold with that piece of junk! lol

I've been re-acquiring a lot of "Bronze Age" comics for quite some time. Since I was bad about looking at the captions the first time around, I never realized that the bodybuilder in one ad was Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the woman he carried was Betty Weider. I had no trouble recognizing Dave Draper on the other hand, because he was ALREADY a big pop culture figure.
