USA predictions

I notice on mayhem and getbig that they have prediction threads for the big men's shows. I think it would be cool to start one for the women's USA's since it is going to be an awesome show! You can predict any or all classes: I am going to stick to the light-heavy class since we know so many of the probables.

Wow.... Knight, thanks! :) Cool to see that. Who knows, it's whoever shows up in the best condition w/ the best package on that particular day. There could be a lot of surprises. We will see! I know I'm prepping like CRAZY though. I just want to look the best I've ever looked, place me wherever as long as I look awesome on stage! :)

We also cant forget... Chris Sabo. She placed 2nd last year, as well as Christine Moore who I read somewhere was coming up to LHWs? Two great women! Among MANY others. We are in for a real treat w/ this show.

Knight... Not sure about Christine Moore, but I did speak with my friend Chris Sabo today, via email, and she IS doing the USA. She is going to do really well there this year, I know that. She's super motivated and ready to do some damage. She placed 2nd there last year, so I can defintely see her being in one of the top spots...

Christine has had an awesome offseason and this girl ALWAYS trains hard, so she's really put on some quality size. She'll still be in the LHW class with me, but will be at the VERY top of the class. She WILL be guaranteed to bring a stellar package this year. I can't wait to see her. :)

I know there is no doubt that I will be competing in better conditioning and I'm highly motivated. No one knew me before the 2004 National's. I'm only going to get better! Patience is key...and I am paying my dues daily. Camaraderie must be maintained in order for our sport to flourish. How cool would that be? I just want to be SHREDDED, no matter where I place. Man... I'd love that! LOL. That is the ONLY goal here. Winning would be great but to compete in bbing it is such a huge struggle against your own mind. Anyone that gets thru that is the true champion in this crazy sport. You have to be an extremely strong person mentally in order to get up TO the stage....

I hope your prep is going well Star. BTW, where are you from? How old are you? Just curious....

Yes!!!! I'm so glad you came and posted. How are you doing woman!? Everyone needs to realize, Debbie WILL be insanely ripped as always. At the 2004 Nats, she got ripped big time and didn't make top 5. I still don't understand it? She has an amazing physique and has that grainy, dense muscle that I am striving for... I have looked at Debbie for the past couple years on the national scene and couldn't wait to be able to stand next to her and this year I will be able to finally do that. To be able to stand next to amazing bodybuilders like Debbie Bramwell, Chris Sabo (again), and MANY others.... is going to make this show pretty special me... really bringing this show full circle for me on a very personal level. I cannot wait! :) 14.5 weeks everyone!

Deb, do you have hotel reservations yet? Let me know... elena let me in on a great hotel that now everyone is staying at. lol. Even more fun! :) I cant wait to see you!

Let me tell you ....when you get to the Nationals/USA its a great feeling becuase its like a big reunion as those of us that chat all year long finally get to be face to face. I know many think its all about the show and competing, but back stage its like a bunch a girls who haven't seen each other in a long time, catching up ....when it comes time to compete...yes the game face goes on but there is always time for a little bit of female catching up :):)

I have to share that long before i ever thought i would compete nationally .......i never will forget going to a show in LA (maybe 4 years ago) and being blown away by this girl on stage(i was a spectator)and i later met her(she is the sweetest too) and now she is married to my good friend Bill.....I am a big fan of michelle ivers. The MWs may also, depending on which class Brenda Smith ends up in, whether Christine Moore competes (last I heard she was going for the North Americans, where she'll have the home field advantage), and whether anyone else on that level shows up.

Some major HW contenders I didn't see mentioned yet are Lora Ottenad, Sherry Smith, Diane Solomons, Jayne Trcka, Gerri Deach, Anne Sheehan who all have competed in previous USAs.

Going out on a limb, I predict that Jamie Troxel will win the LW if she competes, unless Lindsay Mulinazzi shows up as a LW.

Oops, I posted on the wrong thread a moment ago, but I predict that this is the year that Heather Policky turns pro.

I know I'll take some heat for this comment (which, if you know me, you know I welcome it!), but at her best, Heather is absolutely unbeatable. This is, of course, based on the assumption that we're going to see the women judged as bodybuilders and not as fitness pageant queens. If bodybuilding is still bodybuilding and if Heather brings her best possible package to the stage, no one else in the NPC is better.

That doesn't discredit any of the other incredible competitors in any way - this is merely a testament to how great Heather's potential is. I really hope this is her year.

What always impresses me about Lora is her back.This (http://www.colettenelson.com/2004Nationalslobby/images/DSC02047.jpg) is one my favorite pics of her, backstage at Nationals last year. Definitely one of the biggest - and thickest - backs in women's bodybuilding.
