She presents a beautiful package that has thick muscle bellies and a lump filled back shot. She is sexy and beautiful along with a physique that says strength and power. I anticipate a good showing in Atlanta especially with the new judging criteria focusing on femininity and muscularity. I believe she embodies all of these qualities. She will probably land on the Hvywt class since achieving the Lt Hvy required too much loss to get the weight. Although she may not be the biggest on the stage she will be the freakin hottest. Her legs and conditioning can get very deep and hard. Keep an eye on her and give her a shout if you can.

I want to give a quick thank you to everyone for their compliments and encouragement. I found the gym and weight training 3.5 years ago after gaining about 80 lbs. during my pregnancy. I love the strength both physically and mentally I get from training. Competing is a bonus that let's me see the results of my hard work. It makes me feel good that people other than my loving husband :D appreciate my physique and the package I present.

I had hit a mental snag in prep for nationals, but since reading what you guys have said and talking to Amanda D. for a few minutes, my spirit has been renewed. I'm actually excited again and had a great workout this morning. I'm drawing on the positive energy you guys are sending me and will use it to survive these last weeks of diet :eek:

I'll try to keep you all posted on how things are going up until the big day. Keep sending the love :) , it's most appreciated.

I'm not so confident I'll make lt. hvy at Nationals. I had to do the whole sauna, jogging, thing to make weight at Jr. USA's. It was the first time I'd ever had to do that. I'm 5'7 with a build that won't allow me to drop a lot of weight. I'm fairly certain I'll be hvywt. :eek: I'm probably going to look like a baby, but you got to start somewhere, right? :)

It is hard to say but i would think it is not. the details of the strings on the top of the swimsuit is faint. BTW who is the girl beside Tangela on the left? She has good cuts on her legs and nice lats. Tangela also ahas nice cuts on her legs. The girl on the right, is that Barb Zanepa? She used to be fitness right?

Hi Tang - I'm excited to see how you look as a heavy! Sounds to me like that's where you need to be - especially if you had to kill yourself to make weight last time and you've probably added some muscle since then. It will definitely be a tough class, but from what I've seen and heard, you can hang!

You guys are making my day. I can't express how much better I am feeling and how motivated I am right now. One of the things I've come to love about bodybuilders and bodybuilding supporters is how genuinely supportive and encouraging they can be. Thanks everybody.

Ibarramedia- competitor #48 if I remember correctly is Melissa Thompson, her legs were awesome and competitor #44 is Tracy Beckham. I think Tracy did North Americans and perhaps even USA's this year. That pic was taken at finals at Jr. Nats. I had had some sushi and a few apple martinis :p before then. After being the last man standing during prejudging, I knew I hadn't placed well, so I didn't waste any time getting some food and spirits :D

Hans-Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm looking forward to seeing how I look beside some of the heavywt. women. Nats is going to be deep. I can't wait!!! It will be a real honor to be on stage with Mimi Jabalee and some of the others. Almost as great as being on stage with Ms. Amanda D. at Jr. Nats last year!

It doesnt seem that the lthvy is obtainable anymore. it required too much loss at Jr USA and she sacrificed thickness and muscle. her build supports more muscularity and her height requires a thicker physique. She is doing great and things are shaping up. Be sure to say hello when you see her and join us for apple martinis and a big night.

i just wanted to say that tang and i had a blast with old friends and met some good new ones. I realized going into this that tang would be outmassed. it was a gamble since dieting down to her normal sharp conditioning would definitely leave her looking even smaller stepping up from lt hvy to hvy, we choose to shoot for conditioning that allowed her to hold some size and balance them out. squeezed in between lora and the other 170 lb girls didnt leave much comparison for tang. however she has been training, lifting, and learning what bodybuilding is for only three years. she has nothing to be ashamed of at this point. fbb is in transitions about criteria and judging, but we are not. no trophy or promises of procards, neither of which earn money of any significance compared to the expenses are worth sacrificing her beauty and sexy appeal. she would be happy competing once a year for the photoshoots. it was nice to see the photographers trying to get her to find a spot for them as other bigger girls walked by. I know that i could put together the supplies for tang to hit the stage at 170.180.190 with her genetics and size, but since i loved her before bodybuilding i would like to keep her that way after the fun of bodybuilding is long past.
i would like to say that meeting hans was a treat for us, he is a slave to the sport flying 9 hours and no sleep. he is a great guy. gene did a shoot with tang and he was awesome. it is amazing that he has created such a fantastic forum to meet one another and discuss,argue, or just post pics.
We spent the evening with Liza Larence and her beau Will Wessner. They were awesome to hang out with and appears to be the beginning of a great friendship.
overall the show was a great time. imo i had dena taking the show. i felt she offered the total package of conditioning, muscularity, and sexy looks. mimi looked great, certainly improving from last years showing, but a bit blocky and harder look couldnt be overcome by striated teardrops. it was close i guess. glad im not a judge. deb l. looked absolutely freakish. but i guess at some point conditioning crosses to hard. that is why i probably felt dena was the best choice.
hopefully well all make our way back to miami next year to enjoy beautiful south beach.
i know i am ready to feed my baby. she wants oysters and crablegs as we live on the coast of nc. so that is in the works.

I was dissappointed to see how some others were in real life. its amazing that some people hold themselves as ambassadors of the sport and cant take two seconds to help someone out. whatever. it is apparant that others read through the phonies bullsh** too. i read something on muscle mayhem about elena. you know this girl switched her ideas of her physique since a judge said youre too hard. she softens the look and does worse. someone said hey, just do what you like and be who you are, youll live longer and happier for it. i compete on state level and the reasons a judge can give for your placing are convenient statements. elena wasnt too hard. they just decided that amanda should win. elena should just bring her package and love who she is. it breaks my heart the money and time and pain that everyone goes through chasing the cherished pro card. unfortunately as a fbb, what is the next level? endorsements, big purses, sponsors. none of the above. damn, taking my sweetie to atlanta and all the expenses of hotels, limo, and stuff from start of diet to that night was $4000? give or take. hey pics from reg b, gene, or mike y are worth that. well, she missed her time with mike not because she wanted to believe me mike!!!
so in summary. people you meet here are not always who youll meet there. and love yourself and treat yourself well.
