Laura Phelps is relatively new to the PL scene this yr and is doing very well. She competed in BB last yr, winning the '04 BodyRock overalls. She too, like Becca, is currently preparing for the WPO meet Oct 29th and is looking to break records too. Including breaking the 1,500lb total in the 165lb class! Recent workout lifts have included...
620- Squat
340- Bench
505- DeadLift

Just started lifting 2 years ago, that young in age, looks pretty small. And she can Bench press 340 pounds. That is unbelievable! If true, my respects to her and i want to meet her. I want to see her progress in her strength level.

Nice most muscular pose from Laura! I wonder if she's planning on competing back to Bodybuilding because she's got a lot to offer in the sport. I loved checking out her photos in Flex Magazine earlier this year as well as her photos over at Femuscle.org's coverage of the 2004 Bodyrock & the photos of her that's displayed over at Boomerflex.com website. Also congrats to her on her accomplishments in Powerlifting.
I notice that in the last couple of years, that more Female Bodybuilders are utilizing Powerlifting techniques during the off-season to build up more size as well as to increase their stamina and it's paying off come contest time.

I've noticed that too CB. Deb W, Annie R, Elena and Heather, Laura to name the few i know of. Laura has said that she is having too much fun with powerlifting at the moment so, bb isn't in the near future. But who knows what the future holds for this young lady?

I'm defintely looking forward to seeing her physique to become ripped to shreds just like at the 2004 Bodyrock last year.
Maybe this time as a Beautiful & Sexy Lightweight, Middleweight or a Light-Heavyweight. She's got major potential to do well and turn pro in the sport. Hopefully Laura will come back to Bodybuilding in either 2006 or 2007. I'll be glad to be rooting & cheering for this future Ms. International & Ms. Olympia.

I just saw this thread! Sorry! I was posting over in the general discussion forum. The meet went awesome! Just a true honor to be lifting on the same platform as Becca and many other world class athletes! I achieved my goal of breaking the world squat record, breaking it by 72 pounds with a 683 pound lift. I benched 352 and deadlifted 468 for a 1504 lb. total! Right now my focus is strictly on powerlifting, so I'm not sure right now where bodybuilding will fit into my future. I really appreciate all of your kind compliments!! Thank You!

Recent workouts have included a 740 squat, 535 deadlift and a 415 bench in preparation for her next meet in Vegas June 2-3. Looking to get a total of 1650 or 10x her bodyweight!

Laura did a 725 squat, 415 bench and a 510 deadlift in her latest meet in Ohio this past weekend. That's a 1650 total in the 165lb class. Up next is NY in Nov.

I don't think Laura has had any non contest pictures taken since she bulked up for powerlifting.
