Has anybody got an update on Beth Roberts, the IFBB Pro that won the Heavyweights at the 2001 NPC Nationals? I was surprised that I didn't see her name on the invite or entry list for next month's IFBB New York Pro Show. Her website seems to have been taken down?

Fans have to allow competitors - though 'public' figures they may be - to have private lives. It's quite common for people to want to disappear from the public eye for a while.

I remember getting a big hug after she won the nationals in 2001. In my opinion she had the "total package." I miss her competitive efforts. Although she was a high placer, I'd suspect she'd wanted more from the pro's. I hope she comes back. The judging this year may prove to be more favorable to what she brings to the stage as it may have been when she was an amateur?

Beth has some personal things she's taking care of now and isn't actively involved in bodybuilding as a pro (i.e. not competing right now). It's funny b/c I was just talking with a friend about her this past weekend as well...

Beth is a good friend of mine and she does have some personal issues to deal with, bodybuilding is a tough game to play. She does have a sweet physique though and could come in perfect every time. The only time I saw her have trouble with her condition was at the 1990 (?) ANBC Nationals.

I saw her at the Arnold at a booth back in 2002 and of course I saw her compete down in Atlanta for the 2001 Nationals and at the 2002 Jan Tana. She was really in top form not too long ago. The Reg Bradford shoots went really well for her.
