Hey Group....
Did some overtime shooting in Atlanta and just got home late last night....had the good fortune of shooting some great ladies.
The show was very deep in quality and showed that FBB is alive and well.
In the lightweight class Jamie Troxel stood out to me as one to watch....very pretty lady with nice lines....Carla Salotti looked great and was a deserving winner.
I was very, very happy to see Norma Nieves win the Middleweight class....I shot with her Sunday night and she told me she stayed on her diet from the 2005 USA show !!!
She is a truely sweet lady....I met her whole family and amazingly she has a 15 year old daughter who is a top level powerlifter....320 lb squat !! (talk about family genetics !! )
IMO the light heavies was a coin flip and it came down to the judges own personal preferences....I don't think Debi or Dena could have come in any better condition wise. Debi has some amazing bodyparts where Dena doesn't maybe match her in size but as a package it was had to find a weakness. The 2 point win for Dena shows just how amazing these two ladies were.
In the heavies Mimi was a deserving winner.....great conditioning. I was truely happy to see Jody May do so well, as well as my freind Sheilahe Brown, who made great improvements in her legs...Her upper body (especially arms and back) has always been top notch.
I agree with Gene that the ladies on a whole looked great on stage...meaning hair, suits and make-up complemented their physiques.....I know this is a sport first and foremost, but presentation is part of the package IMO....
For all of the ladies who view this board I shot with, thank you very much for your time....( I know how taxing physically and mentally contest weekends are).
I will post some pics from my shoots asap.....(after sleeping for a day or two straight maybe)... :D
