Hey guys wish me luck this weekend as we launch the first ever ...COMPETITORS GUIDE TO SUCCESS:)

This seminar will be covering:
-How to pick a show
-Getting informed about the show you chose
-Dieting
-Cardio
-Posing
-Routine
-Suits
-Tanning
-Traveling
-What to bring to a show
-The FINAL 48 hours....how to go about doing your color etc....
-Oil
-Hair and Makeup
-SHOWTIME


I am extremely excited! We recieved so much stuff from several sponsors ..
-Anafit
-Universal Nutrition
-MHP
-Jan Tana
-Dream Tan
-FitSwimWear by Celeste
-Pro Wrist Wraps
-House of Pain


I can not wait. I am speaking to the WOMEN. We split it up so the men and women were not together to give each thier own comfort zone. Anne Sheehan too will be participating in this event and has helped in co-ordinating it. Pat Grieco is speaking to the men. Chris Perticari and Darin Dudash have also been big contributers in making this event happen.

So lets hope this goes over well. The intent is ...a person who is better prepared, will have a better experience on stage and will want to do this again...its about creating a positive experience for all who want and have stepped on stage!!

I will follow up after this weekend and let you all know how it goes. I will also have all the information from the handouts and the seminar ( the powerpoint presentation outline ) if any one is interested. :)

hey!

Sounds awesome and good luck with that. You should videotape that for a DVD release. That would be a hot seller, IMO! Lots of competitors would be interested i think ;)

Elena is out of town til Tues... (of course on business in ORLANDO! and not even bothering to see me while she's in FLA!! :( :( )I'm anxious to hear the results when she gets back. I want to know who showed up also, competitor wise. Sounds pretty cool!

IT WAS JUST AWESOME!!! As amanda stated I am on a business trip to FLA ...poor me...I will tell all about it when I get back:)

It was awesome! It was great to see people starting out...and learning and wanting to be on stage...and participate in this sport. I met some awesome girls and guys...and we are going to do this again soon! It felt good...honestly good to teach others what I wish someone had done for me when I started out....I mean they absorbed it and were eager to learn...It was just so much FUN! :)

Elena - Just curious, what proportion of the people attending were women? And of those, were most interested in figure/fitness or bodybuilding?

It was an even mix. We did it in two sessions, women in the am men in the pm. There was more bbrs than I expected , about the same as fitness and figure.

Elena, why do I only hear about NJ doing these types of things? Why doesn't florida do it too much? I've seen a fitness/figure conference in Florida but thats it.... Did you and Anne think of this together and arrange it yourselves? How does that all work? I think the seminars are a great idea and there should be more done in all the major states.

We came up with this ourselves. This was not NPC sponsored in the sense they didn't put it on. Me , Anne, Chris, Darrin and Pat all got together and sat down and said...look we know what its like from a competitors point of view and a judges point of view. Why utlize what we have learned over the years to help others and it just went from there.

I would love to do this for all competitors. I have stated if people had enough interest I would come do this seminar where ever necessary if it means helping others be better in this sport.

Great job Elena. It would be great if you could roll this concept out to other places as well.

Also good to hear that there were as many fbbers as fitness and figure girls!
