Helle nielsen at the 2003 Jan Tana. Yaxeni Oriquen at the 2003 Ms. International. Cory Everson at the 1984 Ms. Olympia. Betty Pariso at the 2001 Jan Tana. Joanna Thomas at that same show. Kim Chezevsky at the 1993 Ms. International. Sandy Riddell at the 1989 Ms. Olympia. Jitka Harazimova at the 1998 Ms. Olympia. Heather Policky at the 2002 NPC Junior Nationals. Lenda Murray at the 1990 Ms. Olympia. Nikki Fuller at the 1992 Jan Tana. Melissa Coates at the 1996 Jan Tana. Denise Rutkowski at the 1993 Jan Tana. Amy Pazzo at the 1998 North Americans. Colette Nelson at the 2004 Worlds. Paula Bircumshaw at the 1991 Jan Tana. Diana Dennis at the 1985 NPC Nationals...Some of them lost and some of them won. I don't think the judges always get it right, but they did a few of these times and regardless these were some of the high moments in women's bodybuilding.

One of the most positive muscle surprise moments in female bodybuilding... :D There is one thing you have to understand about Jennifer McVicar that cannot be understood by just gazing at photos...whichever show she did. She exemplifies grace and poise to the fullest extent and I don't know how she got this ability because I have not read of her having been classicly trained in dance or any related discipline, but rather being a mechanic or support person in the Army. Nonetheless she has perfect gait, locomotion, body language and posing ability and it is a tangible advantage to have in bodybuilding. It is noticed by judges. This stage presence is enhanced by a physique that has balance and symmetry with no muscle groups particularly standing outwards so much that they communicate imbalance or disproportion. This is an important countercurrent in modern bodybuilding that can go against the idea of the great respect some judges have for the mass monsters. It isn't that a female bodybuilder can't have a look that is thick and powerful, but there is a form that follows function.
