Who's competing and why isn't there FBB or figure as well??? :headscrat

I am not sure why this is a fitness only comp. I have been searching for a competitor list as well. I managed to put together a very unofficial list by gathering names from other forum posts. Here is what I have so far..

The NPC show is the New York Metropolitan championship, known as the Mets.

There is BB, but not always notable FBB. It is early in the season.
Some years it is a feast - Rosemary Chesseman Jennings won one year -
other years it is a famine.

There is no FBB at the New York Pro BB show in May, successor to the Night of Champions, but that is a different show from the NY Pro Fitness, which is this coming weekend.

This show is combined with the NPC (amateur) Mets BBing show, which does include FBB. There should be at least one FBB in the show, a friend of a friend.

The announced NPC show included 3 classes of FBBs, but FBBs don't necessarily enter this early in the season. In this case, there were no HWs, 4 LWs who didn't belong in a national qualifier, and 3 MWs who were better but not great.

There were also 6 or 7 NPC fitness competitors, around 3 dozen figure competitors, and 17 fitness pros.

but I had to leave part way through the finals :(

This show seemed to come and go with no coverage from any of the fitness photogs or web sites. Whaddup with that? Was this show considered second rate or something? It seemed to draw many of the top fitness women.

Oh and by the way Shannon, you are the definition of fine!! I've never seen a girl with white knee high boots and a bikini on the beach before but that picture makes me want to break out the sunblock and wait until one comes along, hopefully you!!

Did anyone attend this show to watch and what were your thoughts around the judging? I was a little surprised at the judging but I wasn't there so I was curious if anyone had any thoughts around it. Seemed like a pretty big fitness show.

I was at the show. All the girls were great!
The judging and the actually show was not so hot.
The physique judging seemed to go okay. The scores matched up with the callouts and nothing seemed that out of place. Of course everyone always has there favorites they would like to see called out sooner but all in all the physique rounds were okay.
The routine rounds were another story. Very odd scoring.. :wtf: Actually a little shocking to say the least. It was not just one or two but everyone. There were girls with really kick butt routines that ended up at the bottom of the scores and vice versa. Have not gone to many pro shows but from the ones I have attended I have never seen this happen.

Oh well...hopefully it was just a wacky day and the next show will be better!
