I can't really say how much of my motivation to workout comes from the muscular/fit women I have seen. But they certainly provide some of my motivation.
So I was just wondering if any of the other guys here workout at least in part becaause they find fit/muscular women motivating.
For me, it started at least as far back as 5th grade when I bought a chin-up bar because a couple of the girls in my class could do way more chinups than I could. Not that I was trying to be better than them. I just felt (and I think still feel) that if they could do it, then I could at least try.

I am definitely motivated to work out by muscular/ fit women. In college I remember seeing a really fit girl practicing her tennis serve every day on the court, and it made me want to improve my daily run around campus, and do pushups every day. Don't know why.
Also, there is something inspiring about women who work out; I think it is because it takes even more effort and dedication for them to keep their bodyfat low and gain muscle than men.

The answer for me is a definate yes, b/c i see how many of my fbb friends are upbeat, positive, determined, seem to have things going for them, versus many of the women i work with everyday who dont give a hoot and are slobs. So yeah i want my lifestyle to be more like those of the fbbs....definately :)

It's nice to hear that you are motivated by the fbb's - I always seem to get really positive response in the gym by a lot of people. And you're right alot of my fellow fbb's are definitely positive, upbeat ladies who really have their acts together.

Yep! I got into women's bodybuilding as a skinny teenager and was motivated by them to start working out myself. They are definitely an inspiration. Actually pretty much everything I've learned about training and nutrition has been from fbbers.

WOW Hans
Respect!
That is really cool! I have been invited to several muscle forums by other male BBers who were mods etc, cause as they put it "I know my stuff", and also being a science geek.
Some of the lads that just train, so either just want to look good to pull girls or for their holidays, well some have a hard time with some of my advice.
Just this week I was critiquing the diet of a guy who was drinking 4 L of skimmed milk a day for the protein, yes you read that right, 4 L! and I told him to get some whey. He didn't know what whey was, and then told me how 'supplements' were rubbish!
One of the male mods then also posted and told him whey protien was essential. Now he agrees. It is frustrating, cause half the time, well most of the time, I have a better diet and training routine than most of the lads, it is just that I am the lone female on a male dominated board.
It is not all of the lads, but I do run into it enough.
That is why it is soooooooooooooooo nice to have a board dedicated to female BBing.

Very much so, female bodybuilers to me oose confidence and a will to win, I have never actually met one of these beatiful ladies (gutted) of the sport but any coverage of these beautiful, determined athletes has been positive. Female bodybuilders are model professionals and they are determined to be the best they can, when you listen to them speak there is only one goal and that is to win by training hard and dedicating themselves to the sport, that is what it's all about. I myself am dedicated to building my body as a healthy body makes a healthy mind to succeed in every other aspect of my life, the self reward is brilliant and I would say it's thanks to these great girls.
