i believe it is only the first place finishers. i agree it would awesome to see debbie on the olympia stage, but from my understanding this does not qualify her.

I thought it was the top 2 or 3 of each class

Congrats to Debbie on her first pro show. Its nice to see fresh faces on the pro stage such as Debbie Bramwell, Deb L, and Sherry Smith. If I missed any others sorry but my eyes caught the ones that I know off hand. COngrats to all the ladies as they all looked great. By the way Tazzie was sliced and diced WOW!!!

i dont remember where i read it, but. i thought the rule was, that top three at a single weight class show qualified for the Olympia, and if there is two weight classes, just the class winners.

exceptions being, the Ms. International, where the top 6 qualify, and the top six placers from the previous years Olympia.

Congratulations to Tazzi Colomb. She's great and now she's been recognized as such and headed to the Olympia. Kudos go out to Th-Resa Bostick and Beth Roberts. Second and Third Place is very respectable in any situation but after such long layoffs? More than respectable-outstanding.

Especially Debbie Bramwell, Deb L. and Sherry Smith. They look great up there. If I were to have been judging I might have placed them higher up there but that's how it goes. I can't wait to see you up there too Isabelle.

ahh yes, that is where I got confused. I knew there was a top three somewhere. In my own personal opinion I think for 2 classes there should be a top 2 at least that gets qualified for the Olympia. I know that there are probably only a certain number of spots for the OLympia, but it would be nice to give more opportunities to those 2nd and 3rd place winners in the 2 weight class shows. Again it gives more fresh faces on the Olympia stage. You see the same competitors over and over and its nice to change things up a bit. For example I would love to see Heather P. Armburst (spelling) take the Mrs. Olympia. She is a fine canidate as well as many other pros. I am just getting goosebumps thinking of that becuase I remember when Kim C. did the Olympia and beat Lenda Murray over the title, now that was something. okay I am going off topic. Sorry

Going back to my original discussion. I didnt look it up but is the Atantic City show Is there only one class or is it 2 as well.

I would also like to congradulate Mah Ann Mendoza on a great win against tough competition. But I am absolutely thrilled to see Debbie B do so well. This has been a long time coming and richly deserved.

I aslo think it unfortunate that only two invitations to the Olympia come from a contest where a half dozen (or more) athletes clearly showed the ability to perform at that level. Someone here with more knowledge of the inner workings of the IFBB might be able to answer this - what would prevent them (IFBB that is) from inviting whomever they please in addition to the winners. In my view both Debbie B AND Debbie L (who is so unbelievably beautiful) surely deserve to compete at that level, dont you think?

The Olympia is the top athletes from around the world competing for the highest honor. It would be nice to see Debbie B and Deb L along with certain other fbb pros. We definitly want to have FBB Pros that know how to represent and display excellent conditioning and overall shape

Big congrats to all the women who competed, and especially to my trainer extraordinaire Debi L., who made a fabulous pro debut! Looking forward to seeing more pics.

if you really want to confuse yourself, read rules 4.2 and 4.5......
http://www.ifbbprofessionalleague.com/IFBBProRules.pdf

it actually says nothing about the weight classes......

and here is the list of currently qualified women for the Ms. O. not including the europa qualifiers.
http://www.mrolympia.com/msolympia.htm

i couldnt find anywhere, that said wheter the Atlantic City show was one or two classes. so i dont know.

in reading the rules, rule 4.5 sub 3. reads as follows:
"3. The Promoter of the Mr. Olympia has the right to nominate one competitor,
as a “special invitee”, who has not qualified for the current year’s Mr.
Olympia competition. This competitor may compete only with the approval
of the Management Team."
but it said nothing as far as for the Ms. O. so, i dont know. the promoter may be able to put up a "special invitee."

Definately agree, but I have a feeling everyone will still come up short against Iris Kyle.

Ripped to the bone yes but she's giving twenty pounds of muscle to Tazzi and Sherry Smith and her symmetry is a little off. It must be hard after a long several years layoff. As to whether I have any idea as to what I am talking about? She wins you may have a point but I trust my opinion more than I do yours Cal Joe because I think you are biased. I hope she finishes as close to the top as possible but based on the pictures. Not yet ready to win. Judges have a tough job with so many different approaches to womens bodybuilding in one show. Lots of champions from everywhere. My suggestion: More muscles in the calves, glutes, quads and hammy's to equal what she once had. Then triceps and traps. A few more pounds of muscle and she'll be a great champion. Of course more pictures to come could change my mind. I am not there at the show but as far as Beth I think-not yet. This might be a great show for Tazzi or Sherry Smith who are bigger and better.
Let's see,,,,Beth 3rd,,,,Sherry 4th. What were you saying about Sherry being bigger and better? More muscles in the glutes and quads? It's pretty obvious that you don't know Beth's physique. Despite my relation with Beth I have maintained objectivity on this show, and I will continue to do so. It seems to me that 3rd was the appropriate placing for Beth. She nailed her conditioning, but was unable to fill out properly and wound up a little flat. These are minor issues that will be corrected for the Atlantic City. I would like to congratulate Tazzie on a job very well done and to Heather on a nice return to the stage.

That being said, I would especially like to congratulate Beth on HER return after a 4 year absence from the stage. She literally worked her ass off to get ready for this show, and it showed with fantastic conditioning. I'm very proud for her on a job very, very well done. Things will only improve at the AC show.
