Thumbs up Kira Neuman

We had the pleasure to shoot with Kira after her victory as the 2007 Collegiate Bodybuilding National Champion. She's a co-ed that has a bright future ahead of her and we'll be posting more of her shortly:

Congratulations for Kira. It's a shame that there was only one other female at the the Collegiate Nationals. I've had the opportunity to judge Kira on two occasions. She's a good bodybuilder who has a bright future in the sport if she decides to stick with it. The only advice I wish I could give her is to get with someone that has a great deal of experience dealing with female contest prep so she can get her conditioning right and not screw herself up in the long run.

I met Kira walking around at the Arnold in 2006. Very nice girl. I saw a lot of potential in her back then. She's gained plenty of muscle since. In fact, I wasn't even aware it was possible to put on 30+ lbs of muscle in 17 months!

Say Gene, are you shooting Kodachrome? Your red seems a bit saturated. You may want to have the lab check the red tones next time.

I'm also Impressed as well Gene. This Woman's Beautiful Period. No doubt IFBB Pro Material. Now this is the type of physique that wins contests period. Gotta Love her Symmetry & Proportion.

Kira was the highlight of the weekend. She is amazing in front of the camera and I have tons of great video of her. I hope to post a free clip when the USA's are over!

I had not seen her until this year. I weighed her in at the state show on July 14th and she was about 133 lbs. John, did she weigh about 100 lbs at the Arnold in 06?

Smile in '08

Thanks for the warm welcome! My plans for '08 include Jr. Nationals where I plan on being a lightweight. I am very excited to get ready for that!

So Jr. Nats is on your agenda huh . . You plan on getting some coaching or advice from a veteran competitor?

Or will you just ride the wave of your success this year and stick with your own gameplan?

I'm suprised to hear you'll be a lightweight, with all that muscle.

Guess you must be quite the illusionist as well . .

Yes, I will definitely be working with a veteran competitor whom has been guiding me along this year. I have been competing as a middleweight for my 3 shows this year but after seeing how I ended up I think there is more tightening up to do which I hope will put me in the lightweights. But we shall see.

Sounds Cool !!! Well there's no question your mentor has got you on the path to greatness and the sky the limit for you!

So a couple of other things I wondered is . . what's the longest time you ever spent prepping for a contest?

And have you or do you still compete in any other sports as well?

Great job Kira!!! You look even better in these shots than you did at your two previous shows, and you looked terrific then!!! Keep up the excellent work: you've got a very bright future in FBB!!

The longest I have dieted is 22 weeks. I don't do any sports anymore but I used to play basketball, softball, tennis, volleyball, and I was a gymnast.
